Margarita Malave is a Senior Manager, Projects & Vendor Management Lead in the Worldwide Safety Business Management group at Pfizer Pharmaceutical.

Margarita is also a Founder and Vice-President for Parents of ExtrAordinary Kids (PEAK).  Eleven years ago, Margarita, together with a small group of parents came together with one goal in mind – to create opportunities for their children with special needs.  For the past 11 years, Margarita with PEAK has been creating educational and recreational programs for the children in Mt. Olive and the surrounding areas. The group depend on volunteers from the community to keep growing and strong through fundraising, participation and instruction. PEAK believes that children with special needs deserve the same opportunity to learn, play and socialize just as their typical peers.

Although the programs are often centered around a sport or activity, they are more about interaction. Interaction between other participants, instructors, and neurotypical kids.

By creating a relaxed atmosphere, PEAK’s “special” kids get to learn from our “typical” kids, which brings the community together!
